Gully Waste Recycling Facility "OPEN FOR BUSINESS" at Lye.

Today we completed the gully waste recycling facility at Lye Depot. This is a great step forward for Worcestershire Highways meaning we will no longer have to pay expensive disposal fees.

Thanks to Chris Gareze, Darren Garbett and Chris Payne and their teams for the excellent standard of work.

The facility is open for business from Monday and John Howles and his team will be taking full advantage.

John Rice and Lee Salter save the day.

We received this letter from Mr Barker detailing how Lee Salter and John Rice took prompt action to help a cyclist in trouble in Worcestershire and then went the "extra mile" to ensure the cyclist got home safely.

The letter speaks for itself and reflects very well on Worcestershire Highways and Ringway.

John Phelps retires today.

After many years service maintaining the roads of Worcestershire, John Phelps retires today. I told him yesterday it was too late to ask for a rise.

We wish him a long and happy retirement. John says he is hoping to pay more attention to his garden and follow motor sports.
